Meet The Team
Leanne, founder of Homestretch, has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Her philosophy is simple: to provide a personalised and client-oriented service in a private environment. Leanne is a certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in Mat and Reformer Pilates, Studio, Injuries and Special Populations, and Functional Anatomy. Her energetic and holistic approach to health, fitness, and well-being is what sets her apart, and her clients of all demographics attest to this.
Mel is a Polestar Pilates certified instructor with a passion for making Pilates accessible to everyone. She believes that Pilates can help increase strength, flexibility, and balance for people of all ages and fitness levels. In addition to her Pilates qualifications, Mel enjoys trail running and ocean swimming.
Myke, a Physiotherapy graduate and former Personal Trainer, discovered the benefits of Pilates and decided to become a Pilates Teacher. With over 10 years of experience teaching in countries such as Denmark, Maldives, Thailand, and Singapore, Myke has completed 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates training with Balanced Body and is a Prenatal and Postnatal Specialist with Centre for Women's Fitness. He has also undergone golf fitness specialization with the Titleist Performance Institute.
Shell is a STOTT MAT and REFORMER PILATES® instructor at Homestretch Pilates since 2018. She prioritises correct technique and adds fun and variety to her classes. She is a Mosman local, a mother of two, and enjoys an active lifestyle.
Brittne is a highly experienced Pilates instructor who fell in love with Pilates early on. She has trained in various physio clinics and studios in different locations and completed professional training with STOTT and Polestar Pilates. Her goal is to help others heal and feel strong and confident through Pilates. When not in the studio, she enjoys an active lifestyle with her two boys and loves ocean swimming, sailing, and skiing.
Brittne Aspen Whitelaw
Olivia's passion for movement began in dance and she worked professionally in the West End of London. After moving to Sydney, she expanded her knowledge and is now trained in STOTT and Polestar Pilates, personal training, and yoga. Her alignment-based classes are challenging and focus on building strength and mobility.
Margret completed her Pilates training through Polestar Pilates Australia in 2019 after falling in love with Pilates the same year. She has an extensive background in hospitality, including an Advanced Diploma in business management and hospitality, and is an award-winning sommelier. Margret's classes focus on building a strong mind-body connection for a full-body workout, with the goal of leaving clients feeling physically and mentally prepared to tackle any challenge.
As a former competitive gymnast, movement has always been a major part of my life. Pilates helped me maintain strength and mobility through injuries. After a career in media/advertising and two kids, I returned to my passion for movement and gained comprehensive certification through Polestar Pilates in NZ. I tailor sessions to specific goals and outcomes in a safe and fun way, creating a positive movement experience. My classes focus on dynamic alignment and technique to maximise each movement.
Olivia Monteiro is a skilled Pilates Instructor from Rio de Janeiro with a decade of teaching experience and a thriving online wellness business for women. She has owned and operated two Pilates studios, and holds qualifications in Physio and Functional Training. Olivia emphasizes the development of strength and balance in her classes, and maintains a daily routine of meditation, gym workouts, and hiking. We are thrilled to have Olivia join our studio.
Stephanie is a health enthusiast with a Bachelor of Health Science and Pilates instructor training from TAFE SA. She rediscovered her passion for Pilates after working as a lawyer and managing health practices. Stephanie completed advanced reformer training with Polestar Pilates and personally experienced the benefits of Pilates for injuries. Join her for fun and inclusive Pilates classes suitable for all abilities.
